Just a short blog today. We are going to concentrate on preparation for meetings. So what do we need to think about before the meeting. Here are a few tips below:
Make sure you know about the subject matter and that you have read the papers and agenda inside out.
Find out who will be key speakers at the meeting and focus on what they say and their role.
Make sure the room will be set up correctly and ensure you have a good space.
It may sound obvious but take lots of paper and numerous pens. I once had 3 pens fail on me at one meeting.
Speak to the key officers in advance of the meeting, so you all know what to expect. It also improves both your confidence and puts the client at ease.
