Hi Everyone
As an active minute taker in Scotland,
I thought I would do a quick blog on the subject of minute taking and AI. I will be giving my brief opinion on this issue and why I think you still need to employ a minute taker for your meetings. I am sure we all use AI when we use search engines, voice recognition etc but the question you are asking yourself, is - can we not just tape a meeting and use AI to minute it. Well, you can get a transcript from a recording, then you could probably use technology to summarise that text, but you will never capture the essence of the meeting, ie the atmosphere. The politics and the double meanings in conversations. Also, body language can tell you a lot about what poeple mean to say. There are also things said at meetings that should not be minuted and only the participants and the minute taker will know what they are. There is also an issue of impatiality and the importance of ensuring the minute is a good and accurate unbias record of the meeting. So if you require that high level minute taker in Scotland and you want an accurate summary that gives you a good idea of the atmosphere and feeling of the meeting, then you should go for a professional minute taker.
