New Meetings - New Year Resolution for minute taking in Scotland

Hi Everyone

I thought I would do a new blog to start the year. As I will be expanding the business this year, I thought this would be a good time to look at why private companies and organisations should be looking at how they will approach minute taking for 2024. So as someone who operates a minute taking service in Scotland, I thought I would list some of the reasons for commissioning a minute taker for your organisation. Sow here we go:

  1. You may not have a skilled minute taker within your organisation. Minute taking should be looked on as a profession, with only highly skilled people able to take on the task. You also may be a small organisation with only a few staff and it would be far better to out-source the work.

  2. You can benefit from minute takers who have years of experience of working under pressure during meetings and workshops.

  3. A professional minute taker will be able to provide a quick turn around for your minutes, usually within about 3 days if required.

  4. From the point of view of financial resources, it may be far better to pay someone as and when you hold your meetings, rather than employ someone full or part-time.

  5. You will obtain a better service from a trained minute taker than employing someone from a secretarial temp agency. They may also have lower overheads if they are self employed.

Hopefully that has given you a good idea as to why you should look at approaching freelance minute takers for your meetings. So, if you need a skilled minute taker for your meetings in Edinburgh, Glasgow and throughout Scotland, contact me on 0775 213 5055, or though the contact page on this website. It may be the best decision you make in 2024.
